Junior beginners

If you are interested in rowing for juniors, please contact our Junior Co-ordinator, Robert Dibley or get in touch via the website.

You can register your interest in a future junior beginner course by filling in this GRC Junior Starters google form. However if you do, please email the Junior Co-ordinator as well, to ensure that they have a record of your email address, in case the form does not work.

What is the youngest that a Junior can be to start rowing?

The youngest that we take junior rowers is when they are in year 7 at school and we prefer to start the youngest ones (ages 12-14) in the summer term. Older juniors can sometimes start at other times of the year depending on the availability of coaches, and the number of people interested.

I'm a Junior and I already row at another club - what should I do?

Juniors who already row competitively at another club can usually slot straight in to the existing junior squad structure, although you should check first in case the particular group is too full to manage more members.

If you are already 18 then you can join as an adult - please follow the link below.
