The National Championships were held at the National Sports Centre in Nottingham over the weekend of 18/19 July 2009.On Saturday Ben Rodford took part in open lightweight single sculls O Lwt.1X. There were 28 entries so the event took the form of a time trial over the 2000 metres course. There was a fresh breeze makng the going hard. Ben finished in 18th place with a time of 7 mins 2 secs.
