There were 28 entries so the event took the form of a time trial over the 2000 metres course. There was a fresh breeze makng the going hard. There was some cold, heavy rain at the start of Division 1 and a strong south westerly wind blew along the course throughout the day.Altogether 47 boats raced on the long course in division 1, scheduled for 11 am.
