11.30 All rowers to be at Dorney. Photo of whole squad on landing stages followed by crew photos. Please de-rig boats once they have finished racing. Bring all blades to the trailer straight after each race. Do not leave blades on the landing stages.
There is very little room for manouvering within the landing stage duties, as those not on the stages will be needed to rig/de-rig boats and help others to get afloat.
Rich, James, Lyndon and Sam Th have been asked to help you rig and know where you are supposed to be.Listen to them if they ask you to report to the landing stages etc.
You need to know your race number, time and colour. All coaches will have this information.
Have a fun day, remember rowing after all is a water sport, a little rain will not harm anyone, just bring dry clothes to change into for the journey back.
Re-rigging will hopefully be on Monday evening...to be confirmed, as I certainly do not want to do it on Sunday night! 15 of you were missing from loading so will be expected to help re-rig. Cheltenham Ladies College use our boats on a Tuesday afternoon so they will all be needed to be rigged by then.
Remember to thank the trailer drivers as they have had to get up really early and will for the large trailer be staying until the end! We have needed 2 trailers for this event wow! What a lot of you there are! So have fun, get wet and keep smiling:)

This week's top tips......
1. Don't fall into the canal

No Peanuts, of course.
Ball Cup Update
The Ball Cup is Sunday 13th May at Dorney Lake
Directions to the lake are at
www.dorneylake.com/find_us.htm
It usually takes 1:45 to get there from Gloucester, but better to be early than late... :>)
GRC Juniors are expected to man the landing stages all day from 8.30 until 17.15. This involves helping people afloat and collecting numbers from returning crews. A condition of our entry is that we do this, so please note your allotted time below and be there. Mark will be checking that we have people on Landing Stages all the time.
Singles to arrive by 7.30am
Doubles to man landing stages 8.30-11.40
Quads and the Four to man landing stages 11.40-17-15pm!
You will need a minimum of 2 juniors on each landing stage throughout the day. Please do not wander off. We are taking about 40 juniors so there is no need for anyone racing not to have help on and off the water. When you are not on the landing stages please help rig the boats up!
A group photo will be taken by the landing stages at 11.30 Please all be there in kit. It would be great at that point also to get crew photos. The Inter-regional report was in the Citizen tonight AH! OK perhaps we need more writing and definately closer photos if we are to compete with Ross!
Coaches top tip... if you have a rigger jigger bring it with you!
Dorney Lake The Ball Cup
This is a great day out 1st races starting at 8.30
We are helping run the event so Gloucester parents and juniors are responsible for boat checking throughout the day..rowers or xrowers for this task, and manning the 4 landing stages all day. Yes from 8.30. Landing stages can easily be done by the juniors it involves helping crews in and out and collecting the numbers and running them back to the central point. However parents will need to check that this is being covered as there is a limited amount I can chase. We have the complete entry of 40 racing seats, plus the WJ13 4x+ inthe tinies Championships! The Ball cup event we race as GSRA..Gloucestershire Schools Rowing Association and the tinies as GRC. Kit is the standard club vest the J13's can wear their red t-shirts if they have not yet got their vests. However by Stratford they will then need to race in vests. We came equal second last year as each event is awarded points..and won a great trophy! It would be great to get a photo so please can every one be available at lunch time!
The following crews are entered:
WJ14 1x Leanne res. Tasha
J14 1x Neil
WJ15 1x Kirstie res.Josie/Laura whoecer draws the shortest straw. Nigel on boat checking

Times to arrive will be available by the weekend but assume it will be early. Singles will be 7.15 at the latest to allow finding riggers, and a chance to warm up and see course. All races are straight finals. If there are any problems email me and I'll get back to you.
