    Xmas row

We had a HUGE turnout for our Xmas festive fun day last Saturday resulting in lots of side by side 8s racing in scratch crews. The athletes represented the breadth of our membership: young and old(er), those who have barely started their rowing careers to those who have been rowing for more years than they probably care to remember. Costumes were suitably Christmassy - elves, antlers, tinsel, Santa hats, and a few preferring more Dickensian (bah humbug) attire. Many thanks to IJ and Sue Johnson for organising the event, to our coxes Steve J (AKA Coxing Santa) and Heather, Charlie (AKA Safety Launch Santa), George and children for setting up and clearing away, Chris W for being master of ceremonies, and to the many people who brought food to share.

Gloucester Hartpury crews are now unbeaten at Henley Women's Regatta for five years.
