Junior Squad

Gloucester Rowing Club has always had a strong Junior section whose members come from many of the schools within Gloucestershire and further afield. Whether you are wanting to start rowing or have already got some experience, there is a lively and enthusiastic group ready to welcome you along with a capable and experienced coaching team.
Beginners have in the past started rowing each year at Easter, in order to take best advantage of the months with the best weather. However with increased demand since the Olympics, we have had to extend this to take more groups.
In November 2012 we took 20 beginners, and 20 more in February 2013.
Our current course is now also full, with 40 beginners taking part.
The next course is likely to be in October now. Please contact the junior coordinator if you wish to be added to the waiting list for the next course.
Experienced rowers can usually start at any time of year, so long as there is space available in the squad.
